"IT'S NOT FOUR YEARS; IT'S FOR LIFE."
Sisterhood activities give all our members the opportunity to create deeper bonds with one another. We always have the best time together laughing and cracking jokes. Whether we are studying for midterms or carving pumpkins, there is never a dull moment with this group of girls. Here are a few activities we do every year.
GAMMIES AND JAMMIES
The night before our Spring Retreat, older G Phi members cook dinner for the new members at their homes in our best jammies. It's a fun tradition and way to meet more of the unique ladies we have in Gamma Phi. In October we carve pumpkins at older G Phi's houses on the beach!
Our Spring Retreat is special because we start to really get to know our new members. We eat yummy snacks, tell funny stories, and work on our goals for the upcoming year.
FALL RETREAT - BEACH HANGOUT
For our fall retreat, we went to Moonlight State Beach in Encinitas and played games to bond with our sisters!
In G Phi, we aren't afraid to be scholarly. In fact, we celebrate it at our scholarship banquet! We give a huge shout out to all the girls with a 3.5 and above and a special acknowledgment to those who receive a 4.0. We like to invite professors who have impacted our studies or just flat out rock.
Mom's & Dad's Weekend
In the Fall Semester, we host our Dad's for a planned special weekend we can catch us spending quality time as a chapter with our Dad's exploring San Diego and the beauty it has to offer. In the Spring Semester, we invite our Mom's our for a weekend. This gives them an opportunity to travel to San Diego and enjoy a fun-filled weekend with all of us. During this weekend we enjoy having a pledge class dinner, yoga on the beach, cooking classes, hikes, and a sorority-wide brunch so all of our mommas can meet each other.
